They say when one door closes, another opens. We have just opened the doors to a new school for Liam, and as we do, we get to know a whole new world.

And we big adieu to summer, in the best way we know how.
Started the day before school with a trip to Chuck E Cheese.
Skeeball, that’s where the tickets are.
Then a trip to Chazen Art Museum, where we picked out favorite pieces, studied them, and drew for a while.
Liam’s favorite piece was this red sculpture, “because it looks like a rocket”
Since we were downtown, we had to run up and down Bascom Hill a couple times.
And do our best Usain Bolt impressions.
Headed over to the skatepark. Liam is loving it there lately, and just started going down the ramps.
Since we were so close, we had to stop at our favorite Thai restaurant and get dinner. Eggrolls and pad thai. Yum.
Aaaaaand then ice cream at the Chocolate Shoppe. Superman, naturally.
We were a little bit nervous (honestly I was more nervous), but Liam had his first day at his new school. I think it’s a good sign that he squeezed my hand and went into his classroom without a goodbye. He saw his friends and had a great first day.
I’m so proud of him. New school, seeing new and old buddies. He’s so kind and loving, such a sweet boy. I am lucky to be his mother.
